Oh the Heartburn

What a game. I'm so happy the TarHeels won tonight. Between work, school, the Indian food for dinner and this game, I have the worst heartburn.

UNC was up by 15 at one point, then Illinois came back to tie before losing to the TarHeels. My boyfriend was very kind and supportive of my fanatic yelling, commentary and numerous "I can't watch" statements. Until next year....

I am a sucker for cute. Cute cell phones, cute shoes, cute babies, cute animals. I can't help saying "How cute!" for all that stuff. My boyfriend, Chris, has been very patient with my incessant IMs and emails that contain pictures like this:



So he suggested I start a blog to post all of my "How cute!" animal pictures--it only took me 6 months or so to get this going. That, however, means I have 6 months of disgustingly, cute pictures to post.

The Holy Father

I'm not Catholic, but I was a Religious Studies major. Why does that matter, you ask? Well, I learned to appreciate the appeal and history of various religions, including the symbols, people and texts for the respective religions. Breadth over depth.

However, I felt ignorant recently when discussing or listening to news reports about the Pope. Specifically, what happens when the Pope passes away? How is a new Pope selected (all I knew is that this involved smoke)? Why are the processes the way they are?
